how do you aim a 12ga when squirrel or turkey hunting?

I already know how to align the bead, but are you supposed to close one eye or leave them both open when shooting a still target.
What about slugs for deer?

Keep both eyes open with the shotgun.When aiming see no part of the gun barrel except the bead in dead center of the target. Do this every time you shoot a animal and it will help ensure consistent and accurate shooting.
