Gotta get geared up on a paramedics salary…?

OK, hunting season is upon us soon, and its a new hobby for me..Im going after turkey and deer this season I have decided to go the shotgun route, I think its the best choice for me. My question is what do I need equipment wise for a newbie who doesnt have unlimited funds…what equipment is crucial, and what dont I need right away…I dont want to grab a bunch of stuff I dont need, but dont want to be out without the gear I need. Its not like Im hunting rhinos in the Serengetti. Thanks in advance for the answers!!!

Instead of a list of things to get, I ‘d suggest you find a hunting buddy. Talk things over and plan a hunt. A shotgun can cover both game animals you mentioned. A smooth-bore, tight chokes turkey barrel and a rifled choke for sabot slugs or IC choke for rifled slug.
First for turkey camouflage is critical. Your hunting buddy should have the calls and a decoy. Hunt together and learn the ropes. Depending on your state Hunter Safety Orange.
For Turkey/Deer or Rhino don’t go it alone-get a hunting buddy.
