Fall turkey hunting item checklist?
I live in the new england area, just wondering what your say top 10-15 items you carry with you on a shotgun turkey hunt. (Camo, Calls, Shotgun, MREs, first aids, water containers etc.)
spring hunters as well.
Map, compass, GPS (not and or compass “Both” “I hunt in the big woods” and in in position before first light ) LED headlight, small disposable camera, travel pack of wet wipes( in case nature calls), add that to your list and you got me covered.
Have you tried the Camelbak H2O system,
CamelBak Hawg Maximum Gear Pack holds 100 oz. of water it’s the only way to carry water for an all day hunt and has room for a lot of other gear also, it’s a bit high priced but I like mine and there are cheaper models available.
But when it’s hot you not only have plenty of water but that 100 oz. of cool water riding on your back and it does cool you down also. I fill mine ½ full and put it in the freezer over night then fill it all the way to the top just before I leave the house.
Let it get hot I got 100 oz cold water on my back cooling me down.
I wont leave home with out it.
