What type of wild game bird recipes can I make while camping in my local mountains??? Dove,crow,etc…?

I will be hunting lots of small birds(many dove and crow),in my local mountains with a high powered air rifle and was wondering how I can make some great dishes while camping in the mountains,with these little birds??? From soups to bar b q,what recipes do you know for wild game bird???

Jill, I know plenty of people that eat dove, quail, etc. I will admit that I haven’t heard of anyone that has eaten crow, though.

I can imagine that if you just clean the dove, season it with your favorite seasonings, and wrap it in foil and let it cook over a fire until done, it would be good. Honestly, I’ve never had dove before, but my dad loves dove and oyster gumbo.

EDIT: I would be very wary of eating crow. The crows and black birds and whatnot around here carry all kinds of diseases, such as coccidiosis. Very unpleasent.
