bow hunting parts

what is the best kind of bow?
i want to get my bf a hunting bow for christmas or maybe for his birthday if i cant get the money that soon,and i dont even like the idea of hunting,but its something that he really enjoys and is wanting to get a new one,
does anyone know what bow is best,and works really well,how much does it usuallt go for?? i dont want like a 1000 dollar bow,but anyone with ideas??
how bout assesories,what works well while hunting,not like coats or bibs or anyhitng though,i mean like arrows,the pinty part lol,night vision stuff,really good arrows,sight stuff idk just ideas…please
As has been said, the arrows need to be made for the bow/archer combination, and the best way to ensure that is to have your boyfriend go with you to find the “perfect” bow. And the “perfect” bow is going to be the one he likes, not necessarily the one the sales-person says is the “perfect” bow.
What has been said about one bow being “best” for one person not being at all good for another holds true. “targetbutt” shoots a high-end Olympic recurve because that’s what he does: Olympic-style target archery…but his bow wouldn’t work for me, since I do a lot of roving/field archery (with small game hunting thrown in), and my arrows are therefor very different as well.
Take the boyfriend with you to a reputable archery store. Don’t worry about “ruining the surprise”, he’ll appreciate that you are getting him the new “toys”!
By the way, night-vision gear is not needed, since bowhunting at night is not legal.
