great side by side for hunting pheasant and quail?

looking to buy my first gun and want to get across. I get a gun that is reliable and good in the field. I do not want to spend more than 2,000 and may be new or used. I really like German marks, but what you think would be good, let me know

If you can find an Ithaca, 100 or 200 degrees side to side will keep it for life. They are beautiful, lightweight and durable. I have over 30 guns Ithaca and pheasant prefer. Mine is a 26 inch barrel choking improved and modified.
