mushroom hunting animal crossing

Animal Crossing Help?

In animal crossing for game cube,in October around the 15th there is a sign for mushroom hunting,and some of the animals talk about it.
I was wonder when do you look for the mushrooms and were do you look for them?

you have to be out at around 5 A.M. and you look around trees how ever you only get about 150 bells per mushroom so if you want to use your time wisely just do some fishing best of luck
