hog hunting tn

Does anyone know where to hog hunt on state/federal land on east coast TN,NC,SC, ?

I live in michigan and would very much like to take a trip hog hunting with my dad. I would like to go to North Carolina or near by (AppalationMnts). I would also like to hunt on state or federal land at a place that needs help reducing the population. We would like to camp and basiclly ruff it the hole way. If you have hunted this area and don’t mind passing on some good info or are a land owner and would like some hogs removed i would be glad to drive down and help. Any info on state or federal parks that allow hog hunting and camping would be great. Please only resond if you have helpful info i really want to go on this hunt with my dad Thanks

I live here in North Carolina. Go to ncwildlife.com, click on maps, and go to gamelands. Look at the Nantahala gameland. You will need a license to hunt, but its pretty cheap, and I believe that Wild Hogs (you might here them called Feral Pigs, but it’s the EXACT same thing) is not considered a game animal in that part of the state. But plenty of hogs roam around there. Also might wanna check out the Needmore gameland, I killed a 7 Point buck there one day, and I had to shoot a hog before it got to my meat. Double wammy, ate good for a LONG time. But plenty of hogs in there, you can bait em’ with jello.
The only disadvantage of gameland hunting is dealing with other people, and you can’t nail tree stands or anything like that, you have to take climbers or buddy stands. I DO NOT reccomend sitting on the ground. But go right ahead and take your pick.
