From the mighty Mississippi River and Delta in the west to the high mountains of eastern Tennessee, the versatile "Volunteer State" offers visitors great outdoor adventures.
In the northwest corner of Tennessee, near Tiptonville, Reelfoot you'll find Lake State Park. Whitewater adventure canoeists, kayak and beams are the main attraction here, with experienced rowers finding that the challenges of the waters of Big South Fork are on par with the best and biggest rapids in the eastern states. Besides the thrill of views broken water white and excellent river and valley, Big South Fork offers riders 150 miles of designated trails. Another wonder of this is Frozen Head State Natural Area near Wartburg.
