Hunting Revolver for My Lady?

I use my revolver to hunt whitetail deer in upstate NY. My girlfriend has decided that she wants to join me in the woods with a handgun, as carrying a rifle gets very tiring for her. She stands about 5’1″ tall and has a small frame. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which revolver she should purchase when her permit comes through? Something capable of taking a whitetail from 50-70 yards, that won’t break her wrist or knock her on the ground?
I have a decent idea of what calibers she can handle, I’m thinking specific guns that are reliable, accurate, and have manageable recoil.

BTW, size doesn’t matter. It’s all in the mind. I’m a woman and my 10mm is one of my favorites and a 44mag is no problem. Tell her she CAN shoot a caliber–and she will. Tell her she CAN’T shoot a caliber–and she’ll be afraid before she’s even tried.
