What’s the hunting like in central California?
I am talking like the Independence- Lone Pine area. A buddy told me that there is elk in that area. I also know there is bear. I’m thinking maybe next season when I am healed up some from back surgery that I had in April. I am thinking about getting my deer and elk tags next season.
I like your AVATAR name; Impeach odumbo! Yeah, I heard they taste like chicken! Of course a good amount of them are vegetarians that eat tofu! Hey, all I eat are vegetarians! Except for the occasional bear, mountain lion, and filet-o-shark! (LOL) higher up on the food chain!

The only trouble is that I live in the Southern California area known as the High Desert. I have toyed with the thought of moving to northern Arizona.

There are plenty of great hunting opportunities in central Cal. In addition to the species you mentioned, don’t rule out bore hunting (the season is year round); see link 1, below.
