Why aspire to Cali for deer?

Hey, why? California so bad for deer hunting? I know there are some acceptions and things but in general is like the worst place in the 'states! Does anyone know why this is so (My dad shot 2 Boone and Crockett record dollars in Zone B 2005 though)!

I just do not have a nice population of white-tailed or muleys large. All we have are those little black-tails. Ennoble not really worth it in my opinion, unless you draw an X-zone. I do not know why only have black-tails, however, and not other species. The positive side is that we tons of pigs. They are on the hunt "deer" in our state and the season is open all year and you can get as many tags as you for them. Great opportunity to bring home some bacon.
