deer hunting box blinds
what i need to make a 50 ft deer hunting blind that fits 2 people?
i have a 20 ft deer blind that hold me and another. its made of steele pipes and a wood 4′*6′ box. how can i make the blind a extra 30′ what materials and how would i build it????
20 feet up is just right. If you attempt to fabricate your own 50 footer or to add to the 20 footer, please have plenty of guys around when you try to hang it so that they can easily carry you out in short order. Do you have any idea how heavy that will be to try to put up in a tree? If you absolutely had to hunt from that elevation, consider using tree steps (turn-in or strapped to the tree) and hanging two fixed-position stands side by side. If you are talking about free-standing blinds, you will have to use guy wires to keep the thing from swaying all over the place so you can shoot. Let alone swaying around and toppling over.
