Gun season just about over, where am I gonna find the remaining terrified deer for the rest of bow season?

I deer hunt public land in wisconsin with a bow. Now that firearm season in just about over, and the crowds have left the woods, where should I start hunting again. Should I look for the thickest of the thick and swamps or should I just stay warm at home. Is the wisconsin rut completely over or is post rut still under way. Are the deer hearding up yet for the winter.

I’ve never hunted Wisconsin but i find this applies to just about everywhere i’ve hunted public land(ohio, kentucky, indiana).

90% of the people that hunt public land don’t go farther in than 200 yards from the parking lot. They’re too lazy to walk and too lazy to haul a deer out much farther than that. If you go in a quarter to half mile deeper than everyone else you’ll see tons of deer. Doesn’t matter if it’s thick woods or open fields…just get in a quarter mile deeper than the “ring of retards” and you’ll start seeing signs of life.

I can’t be 100% sure this will work for your situation but it’s usually true around here.
