best weapon for hunting wv?

IM about 6'2 260 pounds and was looking for a good hunting weapon especially for deer, but something that could also be used for boar and bear. I live in southern West Virginia so it's a heavily wooded area and I doubt I would have done any shooting over 200 yards. i had considered the marlin 3030, but I like hearing all the opinions I do not really want to go above about 400 itll be my first rifle and I'm not real big on things Luxury

For a deer with a .243 would be enough well-placed shot. For boar or bear, I would go with something a little more power. If you want a rifle for hunt with the three I would suggest something along the line of .270, 7 mm Mauser or 30-06. All these are available in different types of single shot to the lock box semi-automatically. I like the bolt-action and pump-action myself, but you may prefer otherwise. Just take your time when the rifle, set sights and scope in the range you intend to do most of your shots, try different brands and weights of ammunition to see what is the best shot in your rifle and practice, practice, practice. Shoot straight and stay safe.
