I wanna go big game hunting?

i’m 17 now and have been hunting for many years now with my grandfather. When i turn 18 i plan on going to get my license and what not so i can purchase a rifle still looking around for one that suits me. I live in Ontario and really want to travel to BC to get either a moose, elk, bear 9 something that is big game where i can keep as a trophy. So can anyone help me out here?
i think your discusting lolo

the 30-6 is the best option for N. American game such as elk, moose, deer and even large bears. I personally use a quality BONDED 165 grain bullet for deer and elk. I don’t normally hunt bear or moose, but if I did I would move up to 180 or 200 grain bullets and just resight. In larger game you want a bullet that performs well, penetrating to the vitals and expanding, releases all it’s energy inside the animal though expanding, and not exit the animal. Nolser Accu-Bond,Partitions, and similar bullets from other makers are great choices.
You really don’t need magnum cartridges for non dangerous game, and since the ethical hunting range is approx. 400 yards max for most shooters and cartridges the 30-06 is near perfect.
As for specific rifles–any solid bolt action is a good choice, just stay away from the Remington 710/770 package rifles.
Study shot placement on animals, maybe get some of the X-Ray type targets that show internal structures of game, and study 3-D models or mounts if available. “The Perfect Shot” for N American Game would be great to look at if you can find it in a library.
