Is pulling 150 pounds on a cross bow difficult???? HUNTING CROSSBOW ARCHERY DEER BIG GAME ARROW FLETCHING GUNS

I am 15 and currently shoot a 53 pound compound and there is no way that i could pull 150 pounds on a compound. Is a crossbow easier. I know that there are devices and such would that make it easier. Also is 175 alot or send me links of a website that tells you how much draw at what age limit as i wasn’t able to find any on google. THANKS
I live in ontario canada where it is completely legal

Everyone is built different, I’ve seen 15 year olds that can barely pull 15 pounds and there are 15 year olds that can lift me completely off the ground. So you’ll never find a guide that tells you what you should be pulling.

As for a 150lbs crossbow, it’s very different than a compound. With a compound you draw with the small muscles of your shoulder and middle back. With a crossbow you’d be pulling with the very large muscles of your lower back. The action is much like a deadlift, where you step on the stirrup and yank the string up with both arms until it locks into place. There are also cocking mechanisms that you can buy to help you with the task.

If you want to give it a try, try lifting a 150lbs barbell off the floor, it’ll be somewhat similar.

As for legality of using it for hunting, it’s usually considered a firearm unless you’re disabled.
